Hunt Chinese Water Deer (CWD) and Muntjac on a private 1,000-acre Norfolk estate, just two hours from
London. This is classic English countryside stalking – moving through arable fields at first light, working
hedgerows and woodland edges, and taking close-range shots that test your fieldcraft.
You’ll stay at Gowthorpe Manor, a 16th-century Elizabethan manor house at the heart of the hunting
ground. The estate holds healthy populations of both CWD and muntjac, with the variety of terrain – open
fields, dense woodland, hedgerows, and field margins – offering a different challenge with each outing.
Mornings start early with a stalk at first light. After breakfast back at the Manor and time to relax, you’ll
head out again for an afternoon or evening hunt. All meals and drinks are included – a full English
breakfast, lunch, and a three-course dinner each evening.

Gowthorpe Manor is a traditional English country house offering comfortable accommodation, hearty food, and a relaxed, informal atmosphere. Set in peaceful Norfolk countryside, it provides easy access to the estate’s stalking grounds while giving guests a classic manor-house experience with cosy lounges, well-appointed bedrooms, and welcoming hospitality after a day in the field. Stays include a full breakfast, a relaxed lunch, and a three-course dinner each evening, ensuring guests are well looked after throughout their visit

Hunt Style
Physical Level:
Easy: Somewhat easy walking when it comes to physicality. Minimal walking or hiking and terrain is very accessible. Mostly hunting from blinds or tree stands.
Moderate: Physicality is somewhat moderate to advanced. Spot and stalk method of hunting as well as some hunting from blinds. Terrain can vary from prairies to mountains at higher elevations.
Difficult: Requires an advanced degree of physical endurance. Terrain is typically more mountainous and hunting can take place at higher elevation.
Extreme: Most difficult and physically demanding hunts. Requires advanced to extreme endurance and terrain or game pursued may involve dangerous situations.
