October 1-20 (any 5 days)
We have teamed up with one of our top outfitters in central Kansas to offer an exclusive archery only pricing structure. It includes five days of hunting with food and lodging for $2,500 with an additional trophy fee of $2,500 due upon harvest/wounding of a buck. If you don’t draw blood you don’t pay the additional $2,500 harvest fee. These hunts must be scheduled for Oct.1-20, or Dec. 17-31 – (any 5 days). Don’t let the fact these are non-rut hunts discourage you. During the October time frame these bucks will be patterned moving from bedding areas to feeders and crop fields. They will move very early and very late during this time frame due to the warmer temperatures, but extensive scouting and heavy trail camera usage will assist in putting you in the right position. The December hunts will be very similar, but cooler temperatures prevail, often resulting in better movement. The cold also makes the bucks more susceptible to feeders. December hunters need to be prepared for cold temperatures.
More about this area and outfitter:
Central Kansas is known for producing big whitetail deer and has been producing some of our client’s best trophies. Along with great genetics, the agricultural crops in this part of the state, provide the perfect feeding ground to grow these big Midwestern whitetails. Most importantly, this outfitter controls thousands of acres of private property, some of which, borders the local wildlife refuges. These refuges provide sanctuary for deer to grow old and are home to some of the largest bucks in the state. This outfitter relationship is WTA TAGS longest running, in the state of Kansas, and their track record and re-booking rate are unparalleled. They have also recently constructed a brand new, custom lodge. This, along with outstanding meals, will making your stay one to remember. Early booking is essential as the Kansas hunt license application deadline occurs in late-April. WTA TAGS to apply on client’s behalf.
Don’t miss out on one of the best “bang for your buck” hunts Kansas has to offer.
