Spring –Â May & June
Fall – September
This is an opportunity to hunt baited black bears (and Alaskan Brown bears) in one of Alaska’s most stunning locations–the Alaska Range, near Mt. Spur and the Triumvirate Glacier.
This veteran outfitter has a solid track record of producing 6’+ black bears for his clients. The fact that he is hunting private Native Corporation land, his baiting techniques, and the use of cameras have all helped ensure a near 100% success rate on at least one black bear for many years. A second black bear can be taken for a $2,500 harvest fee.
For those interested in harvesting an Alaskan Brown bear over bait there is an approximately 35% chance of harvest opportunity. The cost of the Brown Bear tag ($1,000) would be required and there would be a $9,000 trophy fee, due directly to the outfitter, should a Brown Bear be harvested.
Hunts are conducted in the Spring and Fall. You will be hunting from two-person ladder stands and natural ground blinds (a guide will accompany you while on the stand). You will access the bait sites via boat. These hunts also include incredible fishing for silver salmon (Fall) and trout/Dolly Varden (Spring) from 18-foot tillers. Some fishing equipment is available at camp or you can bring your own.
After arriving in Anchorage, you will overnight. The next morning you will be transported about 40 minutes via Beaver aircraft to the hunt area and begin hunting that evening (the round trip charter fee = $500). You will then hunt for four more days plus the morning of the sixth day, if needed, before heading back.
Accommodations consist of very nice private cabins that are equipped with hot showers, wifi, and have cell service available. The food is plentiful and very tasty. Early booking is essential for this incredible Alaskan adventure. 2 Double Occupancy Cabins.
Black Bear/Fishing – $6,500 + $500 charter (WTA to collect) and $2,500 trophy fee if a second black bear is harvested. $9,000 trophy fee if an Alaskan Brown bear is harvested.
