This trophy late-season rifle elk hunt takes place in south-central New Mexico on a massive continuous 30,000 + acre private ranch.  This ranch is known for producing some tremendous bulls every year. Most of the bulls harvested will be 6×6 bulls scoring 280″- 300″ with larger bulls harvested in recent years. You’ll be hunting with one of the top outfitters in the west.  They have a long history of harvesting some of the top-scoring elk, mule deer, and antelope in the country and have been doing so for 30 plus years.  This property is home to a healthy resident elk population in one of New Mexicos premier elk regions. These late-season rifle hunts are very rewarding as you will be hunting giant bulls in bachelor groups, this property has produced near 100% shot opportunities on mature bulls.  Most of the elk harvested will be 6×6 bulls scoring 300″ plus with much larger bulls harvested in recent years. This spot and stalk hunt are conducted by the use of 4×4 pickup trucks and full guided 1×1 by experienced guides with a passion for elk hunting. Transportation to and from the lodge,  license, gratuity, personal items.

Transportation

Fly to Albuquerque, NM; rent a vehicle, and drive about 3 hours south to the ranch. The outfitter will provide directions to the cabin.

Hunt Style

Physical Level:

Easy: Somewhat easy walking when it comes to physicality. Minimal walking or hiking and terrain is very accessible. Mostly hunting from blinds or tree stands.

Moderate: Physicality is somewhat moderate to advanced. Spot and stalk method of hunting as well as some hunting from blinds. Terrain can vary from prairies to mountains at higher elevations.

Difficult: Requires an advanced degree of physical endurance. Terrain is typically more mountainous and hunting can take place at higher elevation.

Extreme: Most difficult and physically demanding hunts. Requires advanced to extreme endurance and terrain or game pursued may involve dangerous situations.
