Few trophies in the world are as stunning as a big mountain caribou with its white mane, ornamental headgear, and ghost gray coat. The opportunities to hunt these monarchs are only offered in a few locations in North America. This hunt takes you to the pristine vast wilderness of northern British Colombia. This region of the province is game-rich and offers exceptional hunting opportunities for multiple game species. In addition to caribou, hunters can add trophy Canadian moose, black bear, or snow-white billy goats on a trophy-fee basis which round out any B.C. adventure. Hunts typically start with a float plane ride from Dease Lake, BC or Juneau, Alaska to a designated camp. From here, your journey begins with a horseback ride to a spike camp. Spike camps consist of comfortable wall tents with cots and a warm fire to settle in by. The daily hunting routine consists of you and your professional guide riding out each morning to a pre-determined glassing point and searching for the trophies of your dreams. Depending on the combo chosen it may include a jet boat ride on the river or a skiff taken on the smaller lakes. This outfitter has operated in the hunt area for decades and knows the habits of the game, thus all dates offered are exceptional. In addition to trophy caribou, moose, bear, and goat, this region also boasts an abundance of wolves that may offer a bonus opportunity. Hunts typically range from 10–14 days and can include any or all of the mentioned species…moose, mountain caribou, goats, and black bears. These are highly sought-after combo hunts with limited availability. Give WTA a call today and check this off your bucket list. Early reservations are required.
