April
This two bird hunt takes place in classic Merriam’s turkey habitat featuring pine-covered hills, river bottoms, and expansive meadows all on private land with over the counter tags. Our guided turkey hunts utilize a combination of run-and-gun strategies and stationary setups over meadows frequented by birds. All hunts are led by experienced, knowledgeable guides who are passionate about turkey hunting. Hunters can expect to cover 1–4 miles per day while pursuing toms. If physical limitations apply you can also be dropped off at a ground blind and limit walking to a few feet.
Our hunts are strategically scheduled during mid-April—prime time for gobbling activity, maximizing the experience and your chances of success. Shot opportunities on mature Merriam’s toms are extremely high.
