2025:
This mountain goat hunt takes place in the Chugach range in a special-use guide area, with large numbers of goats, and no local hunting pressure due to its remoteness. The hunting grounds are accessed by a jet boat with the possibility of a fly-in with an experienced local pilot. With easy pathways leading through the alders to the hanging mountain valleys above, this hike-in hunt is both remote and accessible. With over 20 years of experience, this operation has this hunt down to a science with a very good opportunity rate. Hunters should still be prepared to earn their trophy, and a good physical condition is strongly recommended to be successful.
This hunt can also be combined with black bear, brown bear, and/or wolf. Upon a successful mountain goat hunt, hunters will return to a base camp on the river to hunt for bear. This is a perfect opportunity for a serious hunter who wants the chance to be successful on a mature billy and big bear.
