Come and hunt what some call the “Pacific Ghost”, the elusive Columbia blacktail deer of southern Oregon. This area is recognized as the hot spot for trophy blacktail hunting, and our outfitter here leases over 10,000 acres of the best private ranches in the region. Hunting is conducted by spot and stalk methods and offer a 90%-100% opportunity to harvest a nice buck. The guides have grown up hunting these areas and have intimate knowledge of both the land and the game. Lodging is included at an Air B&B. Meals will also be provided. Fly to Eugene, OR where the outfitter will transfer you to camp (transport fee = $250 – pay outfitter direct), or fly to Portland, OR, where you will need to rent a vehicle and drive to the Air B & B in Roseburg, OR.
Hunt Style
Physical Level:
Easy: Somewhat easy walking when it comes to physicality. Minimal walking or hiking and terrain is very accessible. Mostly hunting from blinds or tree stands.
Moderate: Physicality is somewhat moderate to advanced. Spot and stalk method of hunting as well as some hunting from blinds. Terrain can vary from prairies to mountains at higher elevations.
Difficult: Requires an advanced degree of physical endurance. Terrain is typically more mountainous and hunting can take place at higher elevation.
Extreme: Most difficult and physically demanding hunts. Requires advanced to extreme endurance and terrain or game pursued may involve dangerous situations.
