Come hunt this rare whitetail deer of southern Oregon. The Columbia whitetail deer is the westernmost whitetail sub-species and is highly sought after for those looking to complete their whitetail slam. Our outfitter in southern Oregon operates on several thousand private acres and takes a limited number of these bucks each year. The success is near 100% on mature bucks. The guides have grown up hunting these areas and have intimate knowledge of both the land and the game. Lodging is included at an Air B&B. Meals will also be provided. Fly to Eugene, OR where the outfitter will transfer you to camp (transport fee = $250 – pay outfitter direct), or fly to Portland, OR, where you will need to rent a vehicle and drive to the Air B & B in Roseburg, OR.
Hunt Style
Physical Level:
Easy: Somewhat easy walking when it comes to physicality. Minimal walking or hiking and terrain is very accessible. Mostly hunting from blinds or tree stands.
Moderate: Physicality is somewhat moderate to advanced. Spot and stalk method of hunting as well as some hunting from blinds. Terrain can vary from prairies to mountains at higher elevations.
Difficult: Requires an advanced degree of physical endurance. Terrain is typically more mountainous and hunting can take place at higher elevation.
Extreme: Most difficult and physically demanding hunts. Requires advanced to extreme endurance and terrain or game pursued may involve dangerous situations.
