Crossbow hunting whitetail in Ohio with a small family outfitter who works hard to put you in the position to harvest a mature buck. Hunt takes place in Coshocton and Knox counties which happen to be 2 of the Top-10 counties for total number of bucks that qualified for Ohio’s Buckeye Big Buck Club. If you are a serious crossbow hunter and understand the challenges of harvesting mature deer year in and year out than this could be the outfitter you have been looking for.
With over 4,000 private acres scattered throughout Knox & Coshocton county Ohio and over 50 stand locations this outfitter and their guides go through thousands of trail camera pictures each week to help determine the best spots to put their hunters based on wind direction and current trail camera intel. Ohio is a bait state and the typically use corn and check every 3-days to keep it fresh without pressure. They have more than enough stand locations for every wind-direction and primarily use ScoutLook to identify wind direction throughout the day to help pick stand locations which are typically ladder stands, but has some hang-on stands, box blinds and ground blinds with average shot distance of 20- 25-yards to the bait. Average travel time to stands is 15- to 40 minutes.
This personal attention to detail yields a high shot opportunity on P&Y whitetail with several larger deer presenting shots every season. Typically during a 5-day hunt hunters should expect to see multiple deer each day and if the weather cooperates some outstanding bucks
When you are not hunting you will be back at the comfortable, but rustic farm house or main lodge enjoying delicious home cooked meals, sharing laughs with the guides, and enjoying the comforts of home. Maximum hunters is 6 hunters per main lodge and 6 hunter per farm house per date.
This outfitter really controls what they can control to make sure the client is taken care of. Folks should leave here feeling like they are part of the family and experience some great crossbow hunting along the way. Book early to ensure your spot for a chance at a trophy crossbow Ohio whitetail.
