February-April
The hunt for mountain nyala may be the pinnacle of African hunting. It is a mountain hunt, yet a safari. You will hunt the Ethiopina Highlands for the majestic mountain nyala and Menelik’s bushbuck in an extremely prime area bordering thee Bale Mt National Park. It is not unusual to see numerous nyala bulls each day, and the trophy quality is fantastic. Menelik’s bushbuck are plentiful, and success on both species is always 100% multiple shot opportunity. Most hunters get their nyala in 1-4 days while being picky.
If you want to add on the specialized lowland species like lesser kudu, Abyssinian bushbuck, Sommering’s gazelle, Beisa oryx, etc., that’s no problem.
You will stay in a comfortable bungalow close to the hunt area and be well looked after by an attentive staff. The best months are February-April.
