Feb – Nov
This magnificent reserve encompasses 40 000 acres in the historic “settler country” of the malaria free Eastern Cape. From the gentle giraffe, enigmatic elephant, iconic rhino, roan, sable, hippo and Cape buffalo which roam freely on the lands; to the spectacular contrasts of the land itself: pristine, steep shady ravines teaming with thick indigenous bush to open plains and grassland – and everything in between.
This is the perfect SAFARI for the whole family. Hunters will be accommodated in the historic, comfortable, spacious lodge and bush camp. Bedrooms are all suites with private open outdoor showers, floor heating and extra king size beds. Dinners are traditional African style and served in the boma around a roaring camp fire.
Visitors to this lodge for the first time will be struck by everything that is refreshingly different about it: from the cohesive way in which their team operates, to the thrilling and highly enjoyable wildlife safari experience this lodge and staff will provide. In addition to hunting, activities can be arranged that include game drives, shopping to nearby towns and villages. Addo Elephant National Park, San rock paintings tours and helicopter trips are also available.
The reserve is already home to the ‘Big 4’ game species, with elephants walking freely for the first time in 300 years. In the coming years, the plan is also to reintroduce lion, once this happens, the reserve will have all the legendary ‘Big 5’ roaming freely within its massive reserve.
This is not a volume outfitter, but one that caters to small groups, individual hunters or families. All safaris can be customized to fit exactly what you are looking for in your African vacation. Hunts are very limited, so early reservations are essential. “Arrive a stranger and leave a friend”.
