Vancouver Island, British Columbia, is home to some of the largest Black Bears in the region. This outfitter’s exclusive hunting area spans hundreds of square miles of breathtaking mountains, rivers, and valleys that flow into the Pacific Ocean. With years of experience, the outfitter offers fully guided Black Bear hunts in both the Spring and Fall, using the proven spot-and-stalk method.
During the spring season, Black Bears emerge from hibernation and can be easily patterned as they seek food in tidal estuaries, meadows, and recently logged areas. They feast on succulent roots, grasses, and berry crops and often wander beaches at low tide in search of crabs and other easy meals. To maximize access to remote areas, hunters and guides utilize small boats, trucks, and ATVs, ensuring high shot opportunities on trophy-class bears.
Accommodations cater to various preferences and seasons. For those who appreciate the comforts of home or are traveling in larger groups, the outfitter offers a stunning oceanfront main lodge. This facility features three private waterfront cabins, each with its own bathroom and the capacity to sleep up to four guests. A separate building houses a commercial kitchen, laundry facilities, a spacious dining area, and Wi-Fi access for staying connected.
For adventurers who prefer the path less traveled, a custom-built 40-foot live-aboard landing craft provides an unmatched experience. Accommodating two hunters and two guides, this vessel grants access to the most remote corners of the concession, ensuring an immersive and unique hunting expedition.
In addition to the main lodge and landing craft, smaller, fully equipped satellite camps offer further accommodation options, allowing hunters to tailor their experience to their personal preferences. Whether seeking comfort or adventure, this outfitter ensures an unforgettable Black Bear hunting experience on Vancouver Island.
