July – September
Greenland is an outdoorsman’s paradise. While it is the largest island, it has a population of just over 50,000 residents! It is home to a variety of wildlife, birdlife, marine life, rocky coastlines, mountains, glaciers, rivers and streams.
Reindeer were first introduced to Greenland in 1952 from Scandinavia and have since flourished. It is a great alternative to caribou hunting in Alaska and Canada, which have seen seasons close and numbers steadily decrease over the years. This particular hunt takes place along the southern tip of the island in an exclusive hunting concession that is over 500 square kilometers (123,000+ acres) where the outfitter has been offering hunts for over thirty years. Hunters and their local guides will track the coastline of the many islands until a trophy bull is spotted. When a trophy is taken, enjoy the remainder of the trip hunting small game for arctic fox, snow hares, various birds, and seals. Incredible fishing for arctic char is also included in the package and is available right around camp! Trophy muskox hunting can be added for additional cost as well as a second reindeer. The camp consists of twelve double occupancy cabins along with a main cabin that serves as the central gathering place for delicious meals. Camp is located with spectacular views of the water and surrounding mountains and has running water, shared bathroom facilities, showers, sauna, BBQ, outdoor fire pit, and fully equipped kitchen. The camp is first and foremost built for hunting and fishing, but is also a perfect destination for exploring the endless fjords, glaciers and the magnificent beauty of Greenland.
