Helicopter Fly-In Elk hunt in Oregon

Outfitter #284
from
$8,850
Location:
Method:
Rifle, Archery
Dates:

Archery: September (6-days)

Rifle: Late October – mid November (5-days)

Here’s a unique opportunity to access some incredible elk country in the mountains of eastern Oregon with a long-time outfitter of over 20 years. No need to worry about drawing a tag as the outfitter has guaranteed “outfitter tags” available. The hunt area is landlocked by private property and sees very little hunting pressure from the general public. You will be flown into the hunt area by helicopter where you’ll hunt on foot from a comfortable tented camp that consists of cots, wood stoves and simple but plentiful meals. The camp is kept small with only 3-4 hunters at a time. Hunters will need to be in good physical condition as all hunting is done on foot. Shot opportunity has been 50%-100% in years past (depending on weapon) on 5×5 and 6×6 bulls ranging in size from 250”-300”+. The archery hunts take place during the pre-rut in early to mid September. This has been the best time to target the older-age mature bulls with a bow. The rifle season is late October through mid November.
