High Quality Wyoming Antelope Hunt

Northeastern and Central Wyoming are home to a thriving population of pronghorn antelope. This portion of the state is largely comprised of sprawling private ranches that value the native wildlife. This fact ensures hunting is heavily regulated resulting in dense overall antelope populations and great trophy quality.

These hunts take place throughout the month of October. Hunters can expect to see bucks in full blown rut the first half of the month. If this is something you have not previously witnessed it should be on your bucket list. Few species rut with this intensity and overall aggression and it is not uncommon to see bucks charge one another from great distances. As the rut tapers off, smaller groups controlled by individual bucks will begin joining together in large herds of fifty or more and bucks will once again tolerate each other’s presence.

As an overall rule of thumb, you will heavily rely on 4X4 pickups to go from glassing point to glassing point. You will cover large expanses of country with binoculars and spotting scopes, searching for the buck of your liking. Once a suitable buck is found, you and your guide will approach on-foot to get within range. Shots will vary greatly in distance, but the norm is 250-400 yards.

Comfortable cabins or hotels will be utilized for lodging during these hunts. Each cabin is equipped with two bedrooms (1 full size bed per room), a common bathroom, full refrigerator/deep freeze and small living area.
