November-December
This 4th generation, 65,000 acre private ranch can only be referred to as paradise for the discerning elk hunter. As both the landowner and outfitter, the family takes great pride in the stewardship of the ranch and employ superior grazing practices in conjunction with a large man-made water network that is beneficial to wildlife.
The ranch is classified as โPine Ridgeโ and largely composed of intermittent hills and rock outcroppings that contain pine and cedar trees. Remaining acres are sage covered hills, meadows and canyons. A developed road system, in conjunction with โmildโ elk terrain, ensures an enjoyable hunt will be experienced regardless of physical abilities.
Hunters can expect to glass the vast landscape until a herd is located. Once found a stalk will be planned and executed. In many circumstances, multiple cows can be taken out of the same herd. It must be noted that this is a โmeat huntโ. Therefore, the outfitter will diligently avoid taking cows in areas where a vehicle cannot access the animal and haul it out whole. Historically hunts have proven to be extremely successful with near 100% shot opportunity being the norm.
Lodging will consist of a very comfortable five-bedroom and two-bathroom home. A full-time cook will be present to ensure quality meals are served daily accompanied with the western hospitality Wyoming is famous for. Wyoming does issue the tag for this hunt through a predictive, preference point draw system. Tags are plentiful, easily drawn, but must be applied for by late June each year. If you have questions regarding this hunt, would like to book, or would like assistance applying into the Wyoming elk draw- please contact WTA TAGS at 1-800-755-8247 or email us at TAGS@trophyadventures.com
