Aug. 31-Sept. 11 & 13-24
This outfitter has been guiding in Alaska for over fifteen years with outstanding hunt reports. The base camp is located some 130 miles north of the Arctic Circle, and the area abounds with a good population of Alaska-Yukon moose and arctic grizzlies. The hunt takes place during the September rut for moose with most bulls harvested being in the 55”-60”+ range. There are lots of grizzlies in the area as well, and most boars will square 6.6′ to 7′ and bigger. These bears range in color from dark chocolate to platinum blonde and make a great trophy. Bears can be found anywhere, from the river bottoms to the hillsides feeding on berries. Base camp consists of comfortable walled tents with wood burning stoves, a cook tent that serves excellent food and lots of it, and a shower tent. Hunts are conducted on sure footed, mountain horses that will get you back into the heart of this game rich country where you and your knowledgeable guide will hunt from a remote spike camp. This is a small, personalized operation and the outfitter only takes a few clients each season, ensuring that each hunter has the opportunity to take home a good trophy or two and so game does not get over hunted. These are 12 day combination hunts, guided 1×1. Book now, you won’t be disappointed with this hunt!
