The Icelandic Reindeer is a unique species found only on Iceland. The hunt takes place in the far East of the country, which can be reached by car or domestic flight. The hunting takes place over 5 days, with 3 hunting days. Success rates have been 100% over the past years. The hunt is a lottery, so hunters will need to be entered before January of each year for the draw in February.
Hunters will stay in comfortable hotels near the hunting area. The season runs from July 15th to September 15th with antlers out of velvet after August 15th most years.
