This specific area of Idaho is known for having wild fruit trees that fill every canyon on the private ranch where bears gravitate to from the surrounding mountains to fatten up. With a high density bear population and outstanding trophy quality this is a hunt that can be customized to fit anyone’s preference of pursuit. In both the spring and the fall, hunters have the option to sit(at) established bait sites, hunt with the use of hounds or spot and stalk them when the opportunity arises. Sample Itinerary;
Day 1: Fly to Lewiston, ID where you will be met by the outfitter and transfered to the lodge.
Day 2-6: Bear hunt.
Day 7; Depart the lodge for your return trip home.
Easy: Somewhat easy walking when it comes to physicality. Minimal walking or hiking and terrain is very accessible. Mostly hunting from blinds or tree stands.
Moderate: Physicality is somewhat moderate to advanced. Spot and stalk method of hunting as well as some hunting from blinds. Terrain can vary from prairies to mountains at higher elevations.
Difficult: Requires an advanced degree of physical endurance. Terrain is typically more mountainous and hunting can take place at higher elevation.
Extreme: Most difficult and physically demanding hunts. Requires advanced to extreme endurance and terrain or game pursued may involve dangerous situations.
