Tags are allotted through a 100% random, lottery style draw equating to equal odds regardless of previous application history. Hunts will be conducted in two distinct manners with the first utilizing 4×4 pickups and logging roads. You will cover lots of ground driving and spend time glassing. At the end of the day you will return to a nice comfortable cabin for a shower and home cooked meal. The second option is a remote wall tent camp that is accessed by horses. You will ride horses for a couple of hours to get to camp. There you will hunt mostly by foot. Once you get your bull down they will grab the horses to assist in getting the trophy back to camp. This hunt is definitely more physical. Both offer very high success rates on good quality moose.

A shiras moose is one of the hardest species to check off your list in North America.
