Spring: April/May (10 day hunt)
Fall: October/November (10 day hunt)
Here is a more affordable opportunity to hunt North America’s most impressive big-game specie – the Kodiak Brown bear! It is definitely worth mentioning this outfitter’s hunt area does include an ample amount of Native Land. You will be hard pressed to find a higher success rate on big boars, at this price point, on a Native Land hunt.
This spot-and-stalk style hunt, in one of the most beautiful, yet wild locations in North America, will require both physical and mental toughness. Being physically fit and able to spike-out into higher country will certainly increase your odds of being successful, however; this outfitter is also able to accommodate less fit or maybe older clients by combing 10 miles of beach via skiff in search of a mature bear.
This outfitter and his small team are seasoned, hardworking guides that know how to hunt the Alaskan bush for this incredible big-game animal. They hunt both Spring and Fall which each have their own pros & cons. For example, in the Spring the days are longer and the rut is starting to roll. It is typically more physical than the Fall hunt as the bears are usually up higher. In the Fall, the hides are typically better and you can combo with Sitka blacktail deer. The bears are typically down lower making for a slightly easier hunt – however, without the aid of the rut the bears don’t tend to move as much during daylight hours. Lets discuss this in more detail and we will make sure you book the correct hunt for you.
Brown bear draw odds for both the spring and fall hunt are typically better than 95% in this unit. Give WTA TAGS a call at 1-800-755-TAGS (8247) today for more information on this epic adventure and to discuss applying for this amazing tag.
