This hunt takes place at the base of the Snowy Mountains in central Montana on two ranches totaling 35,000 acres. Composed primarily of rolling hills, creek bottoms, and agricultural lands, this area is a prime wintering range for elk.
Due to the vast rolling landscape, you will travel from one glassing point to the next until a herd is found. Once spotted a stalk will be planned and executed to get within shooting distance. These hunts are ideal for those with limited mobility. Cow elk hunts can be combined with whitetail deer and/or antelope making for an action packed western adventure.
A modern cabin containing three bedrooms/ two-bathrooms will be utilized for lodging with a cook on site. Cow elk hunters will have double occupancy accommodations.
Cow elk tags for this hunt do not require a draw and may be purchased online or over the counter upon arrival. Deer and antelope tags do require you to draw a tag. If you have questions regarding this hunt or would like to inquire on available dates please contact WTA at 1-800-346-8747.
