September – October
This upland hunt takes place in the vast open prairies and rangeland of Northeastern Montana. This region of Montana boosts good numbers of native Sharp-tail grouse, Hungarian partridge and Ringneck Pheasant due to the vast open grasslands and agricultural fields. Our outfitter is experienced and specializes in upland bird hunting for the past 12 years. Experienced guides and well trained pointing and flushing dogs will assure you a memorable hunt. Hunters should be in good shape an can expect to walk several miles per day, it is not uncommon to flush numerous coveys of Huns and sharp-tails daily. Pheasant may also be an options depending on your hunt time frame and these are done on river and creek bottoms with heavier cover. Rustic Ranch house accommodations and home cooked meals are served daily. This outfitter is small scale and only takes 6 groups per year so early reservations are required.
