Discover an Exceptional Trophy Elk Hunting Experience on a 120,000-Acre Ranch in Southeastern Montana

Few ranches in the West can rival the vastness and quality of this stunning 120,000-acre property in Southeastern Montana. Known as one of the West’s premier trophy elk hunting destinations, this expansive ranch offers hunting opportunities for elk bulls consistently in the 320-360 class, with bulls in the 370-390 range harvested each year. The property’s strict management practices, with limited yearly off-take, ensure that the trophy quality and age structure continue to improve year after year.

Breathtaking Terrain and Prime Elk Habitat

Within the ranch, you’ll find over 20 miles of river bottom, creek beds, and riparian zones, dotted with scattered stands of mature cottonwoods. The ranch also features a large complex of irrigated and dryland crops, as well as a network of sub-irrigated meadows. Ascend from the river valleys, and you’ll encounter pine-covered hills, a well-designed man-made water system, and natural meadows, all of which contribute to the diverse and thriving elk population.

Top-Notch Elk Hunting Opportunities

Before the hunting season begins, the ranch is meticulously scouted using trail cameras and boots-on-the-ground scouting trips to ensure success. Archery hunting takes place in September and early October, with a variety of techniques employed, including spot and stalk, calling, and hunting from enclosed blinds over established elk trails. The ranch offers near 100% shot opportunity on bulls in the 320-350+ class.

Archery hunters can generally expect to draw with 5-7 bonus points, while non-resident rifle hunters will have the opportunity to hunt during late October and November. During this period bulls will be by themselves or in bachelor groups and focused on replenishing their bodies from the rut. Due to the difficulty of drawing non-resident rifle tags, hunters typically need 15 or more bonus points to secure a tag.

Comfortable Lodging After the Hunt

At the end of each day’s hunt, you’ll return to a spacious lodge featuring six bedrooms and five bathrooms, offering all the comforts of home. Rooms are available in both single and double occupancy options, ensuring your group’s comfort and relaxation. A full-time cook will prepare delicious meals each day, while the lodge provides a clean, comfortable environment to unwind and share stories from the day’s hunt.
