October-November (Rifle)
With access to over 150,000 acres of private hunting ground, this is a Mule Deer hunt you won’t soon forget. These expansive Montana ranches lie between 2,500 and 4,500 feet in elevation and feature classic mule deer country—rolling hills, timbered ridges, rugged draws, and scattered dryland alfalfa fields that consistently hold quality bucks.
Hunts are conducted using a proven spot-and-stalk approach, with long hours spent glassing and covering ground to locate mature deer. Once a suitable buck is identified, a careful plan is made and the stalk is executed with precision. This outfitter does an exceptional job of controlling the controllable factors—access, pressure, scouting, and execution—which is reflected in an extremely high success rate. Mule deer bucks on this hunt commonly average in the 155–170+ inch Boone & Crockett range, with opportunities for larger deer each season.
Accommodations are equally well thought out. Hunters stay in a comfortable 5,150-square-foot lodge featuring 11 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms, offering plenty of space to relax after a long day in the field. Meals are hearty and well-prepared by the lodge cook, ensuring you are well fueled for each day’s hunt.
The property also includes a dedicated shop building with a fully equipped skinning room and garage, complete with a walk-in cooler, caping and cutting tables, hot water, heat, and everything needed for proper care of your animal. For those who prefer to process their own game, the facility is fully self-sufficient.
The lodge is conveniently located within 45 minutes of the hunting grounds, allowing for efficient travel and maximum time in the field. If you’re looking for a professionally run Mule Deer hunt where details matter and preparation shows, this Montana experience delivers.
This hunt requires a Montana General Deer Tag (deer hunt only) or a Big Game Combo (deer/cow elk combo). If you have questions, would like to book your hunt, or need help applying for the Montana draw, contact WTA TAGS at 1-800-755-8247 or email
