August 21-30, 2026 ( 10 hunt days) 1st group
September 1-10, 2026 (10 hunt days) 2nd group
Join WTA’s exclusive group a unique buffalo and or crocodile hunt in an incredible area in southern Mozambique. We will hunt 10 days, and you have the option to hunt buffalo and plains game, buffalo, croc and plains game, or even add a hippo. The buffalo hunting is fantastic, and this is probably the best area of Africa to take a truly huge crocodile. The camp is incredibly nice for being in truly wild Africa, and we will have a super trip to this location.
Mozambique offers one of the last frontiers of the genuine big game safari. It is a place where wildlife has never known fences or the capture boma. Here the most discerning sport hunter can relive the experiences, unchanged by time, of the earliest adventures who roamed and hunted these wild places — men such as Major. P.J Pretorius, Harry Manners, Baron Werner Van Alvensleben and Wally Johnson. This outfit produces some excellent buffalo trophies, some of the largest crocodiles in Africa, and a great varied bad of plains game.
Nestled in western Mozambique, the concession in Tete Province covers an area of a little under a million acres in extent comprised of typical Zambezi Valley vegetation and vistas, teeming with an array of plant and animal life. The area nurtures thriving herds of Elephant and Buffalo and an impressive variety of plains game including Kudu, Bushbuck, Waterbuck, Eland, Zebra, Sable, and Roan antelope. This is an addition to populations of carnivores such as Lion, Leopard, Hyena, and recently established Cheetah. Hippo and crocodile are found in large numbers, and for a hunter looking for a truly huge crocodile, this may be the best place in Africa to find a true giant. Crocs of 14’ can be taken with a little effort, and if you are willing to put in some work and stay off the trigger, huge crocs of 15-16’ are a possibility.
On the map of Southern Africa, the concession forms the front lower “jaw” of the “dogs head” that thrusts into Zimbabwe and Zambia. Its northern border is traced by 160km of Lake Cahora Bassa, the west and south are bounded by the Zimbabwean border, and the eastern limit is marked by the Musengezi River. The lake adds a whole new dimension for clients, offering spectacular angling and photographic opportunities as well as producing excellent crocodile and hippo trophies.
Situated on the headwaters of Lake Cahora Bassa, the main camp is something special.
While sitting on the veranda, a mere stone’s throw away from the river, one can get lost in the surroundings. Monkeys, warthogs, and a range of antelope frequent the camp’s lush green lawn.
After a long day’s hunting and fishing, when sitting around the campfire which overlooks the river, one experiences a feeling which is truly unique to the wildest, most remote places on the African continent.
5 Thatched Stone Chalets with en suite bathrooms overlooking the majestic Zambezi Rver and the mountains in Zumbo District make this wilderness camp luxurious. There is a spacious lodge area, swimming pool, bar, and Wifi access. Here you can be in truly wild Africa and have all the comforts of home.
You will fly commercial to Tete, Mozambique and then catch a short charter flight to the hunting area.
