New Mexico’s elk Unit 2 is found in the northwestern portion of the state. Here you can experience varying landscapes ranging from 4,500-7,000 ft. above sea-level. Its comprised of broken desert hogbacks and mesas and is covered in pinon and juniper with deep rim rock canyons. The natural beauty found in these landscapes only improves the overall hunting experience.

This outfitters track record within unit 2 is unparalleled. His success can be heavily attributed to the fact he was born and raised in the area and continues to invest countless hours into scouting efforts. He and his team of guides are all extremely skilled hunters that dedicate themselves fully to each and every hunt.

A well-developed road network exists across much of the unit which allows hunters to travel efficiently from one glassing point to the next. Glassing is the primary method used to find bulls. Once located, a stalk will be planned that may also include calling and or tracking, in order to harvest the bull. Bulls targeted will routinely have six points per side and fall into the 260-320 inch class. Shot opportunity has historically been 90%+ regardless of the weapon used.

Camp will consist of wall tents with heaters and cots – bring your sleeping bag. A full time cook will be present to ensure the camp is clean and comfortable and to ensure hearty meals are ready for you throughout the hunt.

This unit offers some of the very best drawing odds in the state. Guided pool drawing odds for the rifle in this unit often run better than 1 in 17, archery better than 1 in 5 and muzzleloader better than 1 in 10.
