These are great hunts for the hunter looking to collect all of the species of moose, or the cost-conscious hunter looking for a great value in moose hunting. Newfoundland has a lot of moose, but typically, they are not big moose. WTA works with the best outfitters in the province to offer our customers the widest variety of hunts available on the Island. Clients can choose from the road, accessed lodges, or remote fly-in camps, as well as the option of adding woodland caribou to their moose hunt. Success rates have been high with antler spreads ranging from 20″ to 50″+. Accommodations are in comfortable lodges, cabins, or rustic-tented camps depending on hunt location and the guides will work hard to ensure that you have a safe and successful hunt.

Moose Hunt package #1: $5700 Offered from our ground base lodge this is a 5 day hunt from a facility with a bathroom and a wooden structured cabin. Success rate on this hunt is 82%. 2×1 guided hunt. Average bulls range from 25-34 inches.
Moose hunt #2: $9250 A completely remote hunt accessed only by aircraft. Lodges are wooden structured and have hot and cold running water, a shower, along with a cook on staff. These hunts have a 93% success rate and are 2×1 guided. Average moose on this hunt runs from 32-36 inches with many bigger taken each year. Our most popular moose hunt especially for groups.
Moose Hunt #3: $16500 Our trophy moose hunt is completely remote and offered on a limited basis. Our trophy hunts are conducted from a 12×16 wooden structured cabin with a wood stove and bunk beds. Guides will be doing the cooking on this hunt. Success rate on these hunts is 98%. Hunts are fully one on one guided and is a 7 day adventure. We also have one executive lodge for this hunt as well, it is listed on our website as silver bullet lodge. Approx. 1800 sq ft cabin with a full time cook on staff with all the comforts of home including hot shower, wifi and much more. Average bulls on this hunt are between 43-46 inches, with bulls in excess of 50 inches taken each year. 1×1 guided.
Please note all prices are in US funds and the tax is 15% here in Newfoundland and the tag fee is $502. Also, bear tags are $150 plus tax and a $1000 trophy fee if you do happen to harvest one. There is also a $50 preservation fee per hunter as well.

Sample Itinerary:
Day 1: Fly to Gander or Deer Lake Newfoundland,arrive on Day (2)around 1 – 2am and transfer to hotel & overnight.
Day 2: Outfitter will meet and transfer you to camp around 10 am from, meet guides and get licenses.
Days 3-9: Hunt
Day 9: PM Return to Gander or Deer Lake and overnight.
Day 10: Early Return flight home.
Easy: Somewhat easy walking when it comes to physicality. Minimal walking or hiking and terrain is very accessible. Mostly hunting from blinds or tree stands.
Moderate: Physicality is somewhat moderate to advanced. Spot and stalk method of hunting as well as some hunting from blinds. Terrain can vary from prairies to mountains at higher elevations.
Difficult: Requires an advanced degree of physical endurance. Terrain is typically more mountainous and hunting can take place at higher elevation.
Extreme: Most difficult and physically demanding hunts. Requires advanced to extreme endurance and terrain or game pursued may involve dangerous situations.
