Northwest Colorado is known for its abundance of wildlife and these properties are home to a healthy population of elk. In fact, this part of Colorado is home to the highest density of elk in the country and the opportunity and success rate on archery hunts is as good as it gets. The moderate terrain and private land is easy to navigate and the guides here can cater to any hunter’s physical ability. This family-run outfit takes a limited number of archery elk hunters on their properties each season. They have several thousand acres of some of the most picture perfect big game habitat in the West. You and your guide will access the property in 4×4 pick-ups or side by sides, glassing the country. Then, the stalk is on! Strategically located blinds and tree stands are also located along the numerous hay fields, river bottom, and water holes and are a very effective way to hunt during the archery season. These fully guided hunts include great accommodations and western hospitality. Once your tag is filled you can enjoy some incredible trout fishing on one of the ponds or in the Yampa River. Hunters must apply for their archery license by the early April deadline. Give WTA a call to learn more and secure one of these high success archery hunts at a great price.
