This 3,000-acre WTA-exclusive destination is home to some spectacular eastern turkey hunting! An extremely low amount of pressure is put on these birds each season with the property only seeing 8 hunters per year. Turkey numbers are dense and this is one of the best-managed turkey hunting destinations east of the Mississippi. Hunts are conducted from well-placed ground blinds in known travel corridors, strutting areas, and over food plots. Hunters are allowed to harvest 1 bird per on the over-the-counter license. Although the property is a great value in the turkey hunting world, the shining star is the people you will be hunting with. This is a family-run destination that pairs great ground with a strong turkey population and good hometown hospitality! Each hunter will stay in the newly-constructed lodge in private bedrooms, have home-cooked meals, and plenty of room to roam while chasing elusive Eastern gobblers. Space is limited. Transportation
Day 1: Arrive Cleveland, OH, rent vehicle and drive to the lodge located near Wellington, OH (45 mins- 1 hr. drive SW) exact directions will be supplied at the time of booking. Arrive to camp after 3:00pm on this day.
Day 2-4 Hunt
Day 5: Depart lodge AM (no hunting on this day)
Hunt Style
Physical Level:
Easy: Somewhat easy walking when it comes to physicality. Minimal walking or hiking and terrain is very accessible. Mostly hunting from blinds or tree stands.
Moderate: Physicality is somewhat moderate to advanced. Spot and stalk method of hunting as well as some hunting from blinds. Terrain can vary from prairies to mountains at higher elevations.
Difficult: Requires an advanced degree of physical endurance. Terrain is typically more mountainous and hunting can take place at higher elevation.
Extreme: Most difficult and physically demanding hunts. Requires advanced to extreme endurance and terrain or game pursued may involve dangerous situations.
