September-March
This upland paradise conducts hunts on roughly 86,000 acres or 134 sq. miles. The ranch is actually over 100,000 acres of well managed wildlife habitat. You can either hunt the 8,000 acre preserve, which holds a larger population of wild pheasants and chukar then what is released annually. If it’s a 100% wild bird hunt you’re looking for, they can accommodate you through their very unique horseback hunts. On a 3 day hunt, many guests will hunt the preserve, which has no limit on birds taken and throw a day of horseback hunting in, which is subject to state mandated bird limits. The mix of an adventure like this is seen at no other upland bird hunting facility in the west. No large group hunting here, group size is capped at 4 hunters per guide, which makes for a very relaxing outing. The lodging is extremely comfortable(double occupancy with private bath) and the full time chef does an amazing job of producing a true culinary experience. This is one of the top upland destinations in the bird hunting world and a must for those looking to hunt 4 species of upland game in their natural environment. Give WTA a call today and we’ll assist you in starting the planning process.
