March–May
March and April are best for the roar (rut)
Patagonia in southern Argentina is one of the most beautiful places on earth, and this outfitter strictly manages over 92,000 acres of 100% free-range trophy stag country. They only harvest one stag for about every 1,200 acres and have been managing for a decade. The stags are incredible for free-range animals. They are generally from 300–340″ and have had some 350–390″ stags taken. This is unheard of for truly free-range hunting.
They also have a 2,500-acre estate available for those who want to hunt giant estate stags or multi-horned sheep.
Archers are welcome, and they have guided many bowhunters over the years. They average getting bowhunters within 40 yards of 3–4 mature stags on each bow hunt. From there it is up to the hunter to make the shot.
One thing that makes this hunt really stand out is that after you have taken your stag, they provide world-class trout fishing as an inclusion. You can also add extra days just for fishing. Since they run a top-notch fishing operation as well, this is a huge bonus on the stag hunts.
You will stay in one of two very nice lodges and be fed wonderful meals with fine Argentinian wine. This is first class all the way.
This hunt is much different than most in Argentina and especially Patagonia as it is truly free-range and has the huge bonus of world-class fishing. It is a trip not to be missed.
