This remote, private-land hunt on the Alaskan Peninsula is truly unique. They offer both land-based camps and boat based hunts so they can fully utilize this premier brown bear area, plus it offers the hunter a lodging choice. This hunt on the pacific side of the Alaska Peninsula is truly unique. Our Outfitter has exclusive rights to 75 miles of prime Brown bear coastline.
Boat based – A 65′ modern comfortable boat with all the amenities is used as a floating hunting lodge to access the private hunting area. From the boat, beaches and hills are glassed, while slowly cruising down the shorelines. Upon spotting a bear, the hunter and guide take to the shore by skiff to make the stalk. They also have a number of lookout areas where the hunter can glass several frequently traveled locations from one spot. At of a typical day, hunters return to the beach and radio the boat for a skiff ride back to the Spirit (65′ MV with three double occupancy staterooms and shower with fresh water maker and a very spacious interior. While on board, clients may fish for halibut and cod. If you are through with tents in harsh weather environments, treat yourself to the comfort and effectiveness of hunting by boat. It caters to a maximum of four hunters at any time.
Land based – Are typical tent camps with the exception of one cabin. The only thing different from the boat is that they are on outside beaches and you can’t land there with a skiff because of surf so they go in by super cub. Hard core hunters even prefer the land camps because you are always hunting. #478

It is recommended for all hunters to schedule on extra day in Anchorage at the end of their hunt to facilitate arrangements with service providers for meat and trophy care.

Fly from Anchorage to Sand Point with Peninsula Airways – approximately $920, be sure to request a lodge fare.
Outfitter will meet you in Sand Point, Alaska.
Sample Itinerary(Based on a 10 day hunt)
Day 1:Fly to Anchorage and overnight.
Day 2:Fly to Sand Point. Upon arrival to camp you will meet your guide and get settled in.
Days 3-12:Hunt for Alaskan brown bear.
Day 13:Fly back to Sand Point and then onto Anchorage where you will overnight.
Day 14:Depart Anchorage for your return flight home.
Easy: Somewhat easy walking when it comes to physicality. Minimal walking or hiking and terrain is very accessible. Mostly hunting from blinds or tree stands.
Moderate: Physicality is somewhat moderate to advanced. Spot and stalk method of hunting as well as some hunting from blinds. Terrain can vary from prairies to mountains at higher elevations.
Difficult: Requires an advanced degree of physical endurance. Terrain is typically more mountainous and hunting can take place at higher elevation.
Extreme: Most difficult and physically demanding hunts. Requires advanced to extreme endurance and terrain or game pursued may involve dangerous situations.
