Private Land Mule Deer In Central Wyoming

Central Wyoming’s high deserts are teaming with wildlife and make for the perfect backdrop to pursuit mule deer. Hunts will be conducted on large, private ranches where wildlife is valued and ever improving habitat projects are a priority. The outfitter is also permitted to hunt the surrounding public lands that are easily accessed through their private leases. The terrain encountered within the area will vary from boulder covered mountains, pine ridges, endless rolling hills that contain a variety of sagebrush and intermittent creeks.

This hunt will utilize traditional spot and stalk hunting methods for both archers, crossbow enthusiast, and rifle hunters. One can expect to utilize a pickup or UTV to travel from one glassing point to the next in conjunction with short hikes to prime glassing areas. Archery or crossbow (legal during WY. Archery season) hunts will take place in early September when bucks are still in bachelor groups. Rifle hunts will take place in October. At this time bucks will be transitioning from bachelor groups to being alone or near groups of does as they prepare for the November rut.

Lodging for this hunt will consist of an extremely nice facility located at the heart of the hunting area. Guests will have private rooms if coming individually or double occupancy rooms for groups. An on-site cook will be present to ensure homecooked, high quality meals are served daily.

Tags for this hunt are allocated through Wyoming’s annual draw, with application deadlines typically falling around June 1st. Applicants can expect 100% draw odds based on historical data.
