This Canadian moose hunt takes place in Saskatchewan’s remote northern woods. The hunting area covers hundreds of square miles of lakes, rivers, and dense forest—ideal habitat for attracting and growing mature bull moose. With minimal hunting pressure, this is one of our top picks in the province.
This hunt is exclusive—the outfitter offers only a limited number of hunts each year. You’ll hunt for up to 7 days, giving you a strong chance at success. All hunts are fully guided, either 1×1 or 2×1 based on your preference. Hunt dates are flexible and take place during the peak rut in late September and early October. Under normal weather conditions, hunters usually see high shot opportunities on mature bulls.
All hunts are conducted out of spike camps, travel trailers, or cabins, depending on the location. Home-cooked meals and great views of the countryside round out the experience.

Hunt Style
Physical Level:
Easy: Somewhat easy walking when it comes to physicality. Minimal walking or hiking and terrain is very accessible. Mostly hunting from blinds or tree stands.
Moderate: Physicality is somewhat moderate to advanced. Spot and stalk method of hunting as well as some hunting from blinds. Terrain can vary from prairies to mountains at higher elevations.
Difficult: Requires an advanced degree of physical endurance. Terrain is typically more mountainous and hunting can take place at higher elevation.
Extreme: Most difficult and physically demanding hunts. Requires advanced to extreme endurance and terrain or game pursued may involve dangerous situations.
