December – March
This hunt takes place in the state of Sonora, Mexico. Our outfitter has been in the outfitting business for many years and has hosted hunters worldwide. He controls maybe the finest private ranch for sheep and mule deer hunting in “Old Mexico,” encompassing over 200,000 + acres. This magnificent private ranch includes a secluded rugged mountain range with a healthy and managed Desert bighorn sheep population. With only four exclusive private permits available per year, this ranch has the potential to produce record book rams. Hunters have reported seeing multiple rams daily and 100% opportunity over the past years under normal circumstances. These trophy rams will measure from the 160s to upper 170s B&C. While hunting this magnificent ranch, you will have a spotter and professional 1×1 guide with modern high-rack trucks for transportation. Hunters can expect to spend much time glassing and spotting from the mountain’s base. Once a trophy ram has been identified, you and your guide will put together the best plan for success. These hunts can be, and often are, very challenging due to the terrain. However, the range has areas that are easier and more accessible, making this hunt very attractive for hunters of all physical capabilities and ages. In addition to the quality hunting, you will relax in a nice ranch house and dine on traditional Mexican cuisine. This ranch is also known for its quality desert mule deer, which can sometimes be added to your sheep package for an additional fee. This is one of our top Desert sheep destinations, and reservations are often required over a year in advance. #966
