July – September
8 Days, 7 Nights, 6 Hunting Days &Â 2×1 guided
Greenland is an outdoorsman’s paradise. While it is the largest island, it has a population of just over 50,000 residents! It is home to a variety of wildlife, birdlife, marine life, rocky coastlines, mountains, glaciers, rivers, and streams.
Hunters hunt the whole coastline with their guide until they spot the right trophy that they desire to take. Breakfast and dinner is served at the lodge, but while hunting, lunch packages will be brought. When the hunter has taken his trophy, the rest of the time can be spent fishing. It is also possible for the hunter to take another trophy, paid either beforehand or directly on the spot. Other hunting/shooting is also available upon request. We do recommend that anglers take some time off to go on sightseeing around the area. Some can be arranged by the local guides but some have to be booked in advance. Please turn to the staff at Lax-á for further assistance.
The camp consists of 12 fully modern double occupancy cabins along with a main cabin that serves as the central gathering place for delicious meals. Camp is located with spectacular views of the water and surrounding mountains and has running water, shared bathroom facilities with flush toilets, hot showers, and even a sauna. The camp is first and foremost built for hunting and fishing, but is also a perfect destination for exploring the endless fjords, glaciers, and the magnificent beauty of Greenland. Non-hunting companions are more than welcome! Due to the abundance of animals in the area, we highly recommend booking the two-reindeer package. It’s a great value compared to other caribou hunts. Extend your visit while traveling through Iceland and enjoy the sights and sounds of this small country including the many hot springs, nightlife, and fine restaurants.
