The average bear is between 6 and 7 feet, with the occasional one measuring 7.5 feet. Hunts are done from pick-ups and jeeps, using a spot-and-stalk style, and some short hikes are also involved.

This area has a large population, and 50% of the population is colored red, brown, and chocolate. Hound hunts are also offered where using experienced bear dogs to locate the older bears that are mostly nocturnal and are bedded down during the day and feeding at night. This particular hunt can be a bit more physical but fun and full of action and excitement. It is a fantastic hunt for bigger groups and families, always great weather, and an awesome experience.  Dates are limited; call your consultant for availability.
