Spring black bear hunting season dates are from April 15th to June 30th.

The average bears square between 6 and 7 feet with the occasional ones measuring 7.5 feet. Hunts are all done from pick-ups and jeeps with a spot and stalk style of hunting, including some short hikes.

This area has a great population and 50% are colored red, brown, and chocolate. Hound hunts are also offered where using  experienced bear dogs to locate the older bears that are mostly nocturnal and are bedded down during the day and feeding at night. This particular hunt can be a bit more physical but fun and full of action and excitement. It is a fantastic hunt for bigger groups and families, always great weather and an awesome experience.  Dates are limited, call your consultant for availability.

Pricing Details

Call your WTA Consultant for June 2024 Dates.  $1500 savings on 2×1 hunts.  This area is know to produce some massive black bears, and the rut should be in full swing in June.  2nd bear maybe available for a trophy fee.  Call your consultant today for additional information.
