Southern Colorado Private Land Elk Hunting

Southern Colorado offers some of the best elk hunting in the country and some of the best genetics in the state. The area consists of mostly private ranches where licenses are 100% draw with one preference point.  This hunt takes place on 12,000 private acres that is surrounded by other private ranches managed for trophy elk hunting. Latest population studies, on an adjoining ranch, shows that this area has a 60 bull to 100 cow ratio. We plan to take small groups of 4 bow hunters and 4 rifle hunters at a time. The property ranges from 7,500′ in elevation to 12,000′. The two-bedroom log cabin is located on the ranch and your hunt will start when you walk out the front door. The cabin is beautiful and features a living room with big screen satellite tv, dining area, kitchen. There are two huge bedrooms (with 4 twin beds each) and two private baths. A deck overlooks the property. This hunt offers a very realistic chance at harvesting a 300″+ bull.
