These hunts are conducted 2×1 (1×1 offered on a limited basis) by spot and stalk and calling at the right times of the year. A Low pressure, high opportunity strategy is the way to hunt these animals and keep them calm and hunt-able day after day. You will be impressed with the skill your guides exhibit during your adventure. Bulls are typically 300″ plus with bulls in the 360’s taken in the area every year. The terrain is moderate, that said but being in good physical shape is only going to increase your chances of success. Accommodations are a comfortable rustic bed and breakfast style. Exceptional home cooked meals are provided after a long hard day of hunting. Bed and Breakfast
Fly to Denver Colorado or Colorado Springs Colorado where you will rent a car and drive to the lodge near Walsenberg Colorado.
Easy: Somewhat easy walking when it comes to physicality. Minimal walking or hiking and terrain is very accessible. Mostly hunting from blinds or tree stands.
Moderate: Physicality is somewhat moderate to advanced. Spot and stalk method of hunting as well as some hunting from blinds. Terrain can vary from prairies to mountains at higher elevations.
Difficult: Requires an advanced degree of physical endurance. Terrain is typically more mountainous and hunting can take place at higher elevation.
Extreme: Most difficult and physically demanding hunts. Requires advanced to extreme endurance and terrain or game pursued may involve dangerous situations.
