Trophy Bulls Near Yellowstone National Park

Outfitter #1021
from
$12,500
Location:
Method:
Rifle, Archery, Crossbow
Dates:

September: Archery

October: Rifle

This adventure will take you into the heart of Wyoming’s most remote, uncharted wilderness. To reach camp, you’ll embark on an 18-mile ride through rugged terrain, but once you arrive, you’ll be perfectly situated near the border of Yellowstone National Park—an area renowned for producing some of Wyoming’s largest bulls for generations.

Prepare yourself for both a mental and physical challenge. This breathtakingly beautiful, yet rugged, terrain ranges in elevation from 8,000 to 9,500 feet. Archers (crossbows are legal during WY archery seasons)  will be pursuing resident bulls that summer in the pristine high-country, utilizing a combination of glassing, calling, and spot-and-stalk techniques. For rifle hunters, we focus on the final two weeks of October when winter begins to settle over Northwest Wyoming. As the temperatures drop and snow starts to fly, the elk begin their historic migration out of the park and onto their winter range. Rifle hunters can expect to spend a lot of time glassing and riding horses, all in search of the bull of a lifetime. Regardless of your weapon choice, the outfitter focuses on bulls in the 330+ class.

Lodging will be in a traditional wall-tent camp, featuring double-occupancy tents with cots, comfortable foam mattress pads, and wood heat to keep you cozy. A separate dining and gathering tent offers a place to enjoy meals and relive the day’s experiences around a hot stove.

A limited quota tag is required: Unit 51-1 (rifle tag, requiring 15+ preference points) or Unit 51-9 (archery tag, requiring 6+ preference points). Wyoming does offer Commissioners Elk Tags at auction that allow you to bypass the draw if so desired. If you have any questions, want to book your spot, or need assistance applying for the Wyoming elk draw, reach out to WTA TAGS at 800-755-TAGS (8247) or email us at TAGS@trophyadventures.com.
