March 6- day hunts
Embark on one of the most thrilling and unforgettable hunting adventures in the Arctic wilderness. This Arctic wolf hunt is an unparalleled experience, set against the breathtaking and extreme backdrop of the winter tundra. This harsh yet majestic landscape offers an exclusive hunting opportunity like no other.
Your journey begins by vehicle along the vast ice road systems that stretch through the Northwest Territories and Nunavut—roads made famous by the first season of Ice Road Truckers. These routes provide access to remote regions that remain untouched for ten months of the year, offering an unparalleled hunting ground free from pressure.
In the Northwest Territories, it is legal to pursue wolves using snowmobiles with the intent to harvest them, creating an electrifying hunting experience. Hunters accustomed to pursuing coyotes in this fashion (where legal) will find this hunt to be the ultimate test of skill and adrenaline. While some may argue that this method is unconventional, it mirrors the way wolves hunt their own prey—through endurance and power. If you crave an adventure that pushes the limits, this hunt is for you.
Picture yourself cruising the rolling tundra, scanning hundreds of miles of frozen wilderness. Suddenly, you crest a hill and spot a pack of Arctic wolves moving across a frozen lake. With two tags in your pocket and a loaded semi-auto rifle at the ready, the chase is on. Within minutes, you are ten feet away from one of nature’s most stunning predators, running full speed beside your snowmobile. Precision, speed, and skill are crucial—wolves scatter in all directions, and your moment to strike is fleeting.
Your accommodations for this adventure include custom-designed, mobile hunting cabins that tow behind pickup trucks. These well-equipped cabins remain warm and comfortable throughout your stay, ensuring a cozy retreat after a long day on the tundra. To maintain flexibility and optimize hunting opportunities, we remain mobile, adjusting locations based on wolf movement.
Our food is another highlight of the experience—homemade, pre-prepared meals crafted with care by the outfitter’s wife ensure that you enjoy top-notch comfort food even in the heart of the Arctic.
Each hunter is provided with two tags, but the primary goal is to ensure that every hunter harvests at least one wolf. While they do not guarantee a successful hunt, thier track record over the past seven years speaks for itself—they have maintained a remarkable success rate of near 100%. However, Arctic weather is unpredictable, and conditions can significantly impact each hunt.
These exclusive wolf hunts take place throughout March and span six hunting days. If you are ready for the adventure of a lifetime, give WTA a call today.
