Utah’s Diamond Mountain mule deer unit, located in Northeast Utah, is directly across from Colorado’s famed units 201, 1, and the Dinosaur National Monument. This hunt covers approximately 30,000 acres of private ranches known for producing impressive bucks in the 150-175+ caliber range. These ranches are meticulously managed and strategically hunted to keep the bucks relaxed and unpressured.
Expect a classic mule deer hunting experience: spending hours behind glass, scanning the sage-covered hills and draws. Once a buck is spotted, a careful stalk will be planned to get within shooting range. Historically, the archery and muzzleloader seasons have yielded the largest trophies, as the bucks are pre-scouted and more predictable. During rifle season, bucks start moving as they transition from summer ranges to rutting areas. Regardless of your chosen season, the outfitter offers nearly a 100% shot opportunity and can customize hunts to match your physical abilities and preferences.
