DAY-TO-DAY ITINERARY
◽️ DAY 1 | South Africa- Johannesburg overnight
Overnight in close to Johannesburg International airport at a luxury boutique hotel.
◽️ DAY 2-4 | South Africa- Big-5 Safari
Next morning your private driver will pick you up and transfer by road to the spectacular Welgevonden Game Reserve, located approximately 3 hours north of Johannesburg.
Explore the African bush in style! Twice daily game drives; gourmet meals, luxury accommodation and romantic starlight nights under the Africa sky.
A typical day on safari in Welgevonden Game Reserve starts with the gentle glow of sunrise casting light across the wilderness, signaling the beginning of another exciting journey through South Africa’s natural beauty.
Following a morning cup of coffee, guests embark on thrilling game drives led by knowledgeable guides, exploring the reserve’s varied terrain in search of its elusive wildlife inhabitants. From magnificent elephants and elusive lions to elegant giraffes and vibrant bird species, each sighting offers insight into the intricate balance of this pristine environment.
Midday provides a chance to relax and enjoy a delicious bush breakfast in a picturesque setting, followed by leisure time to unwind at the lodge or indulge in spa treatments.
As the sun sets, evening game drives offer the opportunity to encounter the reserve’s nocturnal creatures, with guests returning to camp to share tales of the day’s adventures around a campfire before retiring to their cozy accommodations, serenaded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Physical Level:
Easy: Somewhat easy walking when it comes to physicality. Minimal walking or hiking and terrain is very accessible. Mostly hunting from blinds or tree stands.
Moderate: Physicality is somewhat moderate to advanced. Spot and stalk method of hunting as well as some hunting from blinds. Terrain can vary from prairies to mountains at higher elevations.
Difficult: Requires an advanced degree of physical endurance. Terrain is typically more mountainous and hunting can take place at higher elevation.
Extreme: Most difficult and physically demanding hunts. Requires advanced to extreme endurance and terrain or game pursued may involve dangerous situations.
