Archery- mid September through early October
Rifle- late October through late November
Montana has quickly emerged as one of the west’s premier trophy elk states. Trophy potential on this hunt is excellent. Hunters will be targeting bulls in the 320+ class with bulls over 360 being taken each year. Hunts take place on multiple private ranches totaling 60,000 acres. Hunts are limited to ensure the highest quality hunt and overall experience. These ranches are home to resident elk herds in a unit that is comprised of roughly 86% private land. This allows the elk to be well managed and reach their maximum trophy potential. Archery tags have a 75% draw with 4 bonus point. These are phenomenal draw odds on a trophy elk tag. Rifle hunts are available but tags are quite difficult to draw and require 10+ points to reasonable expect a tag.
