Northeast Wyoming – Mule Deer, Antelope or Combination Hunt

This hunt takes place on a 12,000 acre private ranch in northeastern, Wyoming. In conjunction with the private property, this outfitter is also permitted to hunt the tens of thousands of acres of beautiful national grasslands inside this unit. This ranch is highly managed as the outfitter only takes three mule deer clients per year. These muley bucks will typically average in the 160’s.

Terrain consists of open grasslands, thick sagebrush and pockets of juniper and Ponderosa pine trees. There are rough cuts and draws that typically hold lots of deer.

This a spot and stalk style hunt. You will cover country by pickup, but much of this beautiful landscape is hunted on foot with relatively easy hiking. Good optics are a must, as you will spend lots of time behind the glass. Once a trophy is located, you and your extremely competent guide will plan and execute a stalk. The average shot is approximately 250 yards.

You will stay in a nice comfortable ranch house about 40 minutes from the hunting area. You will be fed wonderful homecooked meals and sleep in a quality bed.

This area does require seven preference points for Wyoming’s “Special” priced deer tag (10 points for the less expensive “Regular” priced tag). Antelope can also be added making for the perfect combination hunt. Straight antelope hunts are also available. Your number of antelope preference points will determine which area you hunt. This outfitter does have a zero point antelope area.
