May – November
Our Zambia outfitter hunts 6 of the best Luangwa Valley concessions bordering the South Luangwa or North Luangwa National Parks.
The lion, leopard, buff, hippo croc and plains game hunting is exceptional, and the best in Africa. They take many mid-upper 40″ buffalo each year, and have a 100% success rate on lion and leopard. Their areas are crawling with leopards as the Luangwa Valley has the highest concentration of leopard in Africa. This outfitter guarantees in writing that you will get a shot at a mature tom leopard, or you can come back for no day rates. We know of no other outfitter in Africa that will do this for their clients. Zambia is doing such a good job with conservation, we have recently had a couple of lions from this outfitter imported to the US !
They hunt Sitatunga in Bangweulu swamps and the Kafue Basin which are top sitatunga areas with a 100% success rate.
Plus they have a top sable area in Zambia were they average 44 inches on sable bulls. In this area with a bit of luck it is very possible to take a sable over 48 inches.
Hunting takes place in the Luangwa Valley , Kafuwe Flats, and Bangwelu Swamps on governmental conservation areas and large privately owned ranches, depending on the clients’ desired species. Guests will stay in chalets, East African style safari tents, or grass thatched accommodations with delicious meals and daily laundry service.
Zambia ‘s climate is generally sunny and pleasant, and winters are cool to mild. Hunting season is May-November. This is absolutely one of the best operation in Wild Africa today to take serious trophies with unmatched success.
