New Mexico Application Information
- Species: WTA TAGS offers application assistance for the following species in New Mexico: Elk, mule deer, coues deer, antelope, rocky mountain bighorn, desert bighorn, oryx, ibex and Barbery sheep.
- Point System: There is no point system in place in the state of New Mexico.
- Party Applications: Up to four applicants for elk, deer, antelope, and Barbary sheep. Up to two applicants for ibex and oryx. Bighorn sheep applications must be individual
- Hunter’s Safety Card Requirement: Hunter education is required for anyone under 18.
- Youth: No minimum age, as long as the youth has hunter education.
